Born on a sweltering Summer afternoon in the valley of Northern California, Down the Well is a raw female fronted rock/alternative band with a sound that is commonly referred to as “heavy mellow”. With a unique balance of punchy rhythms mixed with with the synergistic melodies of vocals and guitar they are often compared to such bands as Jane’s Addiction and Alice in Chains. Down The Well formed when Drummer JP Bergmann and singer Minnie Mental (both former members of Furlough Fridays) started a new project seeking to take their songwriting to the next level. They found that challenge in Lead Guitar player Abe Nesbitt, whose last collaborative project was a metal trio based out of LA called The Ambulance. Down the well spent all of 2016 on songwriting and recording with Tommy Fogg on bass (Formerly on guitar for Star Thistle Wall), and released their first single on June 3rd, 2016. By year’s end the band welcomed Ian Witherspoon to fill in on bass as Tommy went on to pursue a career down South. They just released their debut EP “Never Better” at The Maltese in Chico, CA on Earth Day Saturday April 23rd. For more info about Down The Well contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
